Well, I'd like to say for sure I'm living that. However, I think a little support is in order! Afterall we are the example for our loves and being expressed and happy is such a great gift for them in addition to our nurturing cuddles and healthy meals.

I'm responding to the email you sent out: I am doing some research for my next line & wanted your input, advice, & feelings on this;
*What are your top 3 character traits (most important to you) that you would want to see in your children as they grow up?
*What kind of things & (how often) do you do to instill this with them?
I know as a mom there is probably way more than 3 traits, but I wanted to get the gist of the most valued/important.
Thank you so much for your responses & time.
**** Also wanted to know if you have any quick (10min healthy lunch ideas for toddlers) *****

As for healthy lunches, I'm clueless. My 18-month old will only eat fruit and crackers. Would love to know what other moms are doing!

Your first question, though, really had me stop and think. I believe the best (and probably the ONLY) was we teach our children is through the power of our example. This is really a wake up call to myself to see: Am I BEING the joy, the adventure, and the vitality that I want for Jenna?

It's tough to narrow it down to three, but I'd have to say:
1) Love. For her to love who she is, love life, and love others.
2) Curiosity. For her to love learning and exploring and discovering new things.
3) Faith. For her to have a strong reliance on the goodness of her Inner Being, or however she chooses to experience God. To know that she is part of the Infinite Power the created the Universe. To trust that she is never alone, and that she can use all outer circumstances for good in her life.

Moms in mom-land - Have you hugged yourself today?
I have just returned from a long weekend away with our family & although it was so amazing, filled with some new & priceless experiences the kids will never forget - it was literally exhausting. Those of you who know that going away for the weekend or mini-vacations can require you to take another week afterwards to catch up on well...."everything!"
So, as it took over 2hrs to put two little tired kidlets to bed & after 53 tantrums, toy throwing & some snuggles too - I was ready for a "silence retreat" in the high mountains of Tibet! I snuggled into bed after hurdling 13 loads of laundry,
I finally get a chance to catch up on emails, business matters, & weekly tasks ahead.
I am soaring through my business & 'rest of life' stuff when the memories & funny moments of the weekend come flashing back in little tidbits here and there. I pull out the camera and review all our photos. Over 150 of them just for two days. Pretty awesome - looking at all the new experiences the kids learned about & we were right there with them, guiding, teaching, encouraging, & laughing with them in every moment.
Then as tired & exhausted as we all were about an hour ago - as we are dragging ourselves up to bath time & bed, I wondered "man these mini-vacations - is it worth it?"
And looking back at the photo's & remembering the exploration & excitment in their eyes, a wave of pride surges through me....'Every second - it is worth it!'
So, when you have your daily, weekly moments when you seemed to be filled to the rim of "getting things done, & looking after" everything & everyone - know that you are instrumental in molding the very life of all those around you.
In each moment of your life, you are affecting your loved ones become the very best they can be. Even though you may not be your very best all the time - but your mere intent to love them unconditionally is all they really ask for...& in ten years from now, they will not remember the fancy schmancy toy you spent forever looking for & paying for, they will remember the time you were right there when they roasted their first marshmellow or played teeter-taughter on a beached log, & building their first mile-high sandcastle! All they treasure is your love & your time! So even in your busiest moments - remember that this life is all about what we experience. It is not about what we make, or get, or achieve along the way. It is about what we experience along this amazing road called life. You are so infinitely intertwined with all of kids experiences - that is pretty huge! It is pretty amazing!
You are amazing Moms! Give yourself a hug & know you are so instrumental in this life!
You go Girls! You GO!
Have a great week & Peace out to all!

I love your yoga story! My "little guy" is a quite big 6'3" these days, but your story brings back lots of memories of when he was that size. It brought a smile to my face, which was sorely needed today. Thank you for reminding me of the joy of being a parent.

Hi there Mom's
Something a little cute & funny - you have probably been there...
Yesterday as I was trying to fit in a little "fitness" into my extremely busy day - I popped in one of my yoga video's & seconds into it I had both of my kids thinking my downward dog was an invitation for "jungle-mom" time. As they are climbing all over me & I am trying to focus on my breathing, & stretching, I am laughing uncontrollably. My kids then joined in when Kat'chata'ranga came around & seeing my little angel on one side, (20mths) & my little guy on the other side of me (just about 4yr old) I was in utter motherhood bliss seeing them join with me. I only got about 12 mins, in but the connection I had looking into my babies eyes as they were trying so hard to mimic & "extercize" as my little guy says, was priceless.
Then as my little girl got bored & moved on to dancing, my little guy stood there clapping for me until I was finished. He praised me & said "You are doing really good mommy-way to go!" He sounded like I did in all the times throughout the day when I build him up doing all the new tasks he tries - made me feel like "this is why I am a mom!" Moments of love all the way around! Love being a mom!!!!!
